I hope the mayor does a better job supervising this project than he did supervising the city’s evacuation.

I agree, the city of Houston needs a better plan. We can not allow the People of Houston and surrounding areas be flooded like this again.

It would be nice to protect people all over, the sad reality is looking at the geometry/topography of Houston, it's just a matter of time before they get hit again. There is nothing that man can make that will save from the next super storm. The hurricane that hit them was a freak also; the chances of another like that happening would be astronomical.
