Major Kudos to Alejandro Villanueva for exercising personal courage, leadership, and his Constitutional rights. The other players have the right to do what they did. it will be interesting if those who choose to protest during the National Anthem, will actually move from the relative safety of the symbolic act, to meaningful action, sacrifice, and financial investment. Taking a knee is easy, offering to place yourself in harms way to protect that right, - not so much.

So he should have chosen loyalty to his fellow players rather than loyalty to his country. He had already made that choice when he became a Ranger and served 3 tours in Afghanistan. I only served one tour in Nam and that was enough for me. I call on all of you to join me and many other Veterans in our own protest, watch something else, don't buy that ticket!

Villanueva is the only one who came out looking good this weekend. The NFL, its players, and the President all looked bad, and unfortunately it brought attention to disunity in these United States.
