Hillary was right about there being a basket of deplorables. She just didn't correctly identify them

“There may be plenty of issues in this country but I will always respect my country, my president, and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my president the respect he deserves!” "Gunderson responded to critics in a separate post later this week, in which he said he prepared his family beforehand for the 'backlash and hateful comments' he expected after the viral video and called out commenters he claimed wanted to 'cause divide.'"

. . . He knew what he was doing when he chose beforehand to politically charge his statement. He could have just as easily stood without making the accompanying political remarks. It wasn't incidental, it was intentional and planned. Then tries to call others out for being "divisive" while he turned a horrible tragedy into an issue about social politics? Not to mention the blatant Disrespect of our Flag he's showing in the photo on right. He brought any "backlash" on himself, so he gets no pity from me in regards to this specific issue.

However, regardless of his political views; he and the other shooting victims, and their families all have my sympathies. As always, he has my unconditional support in exercising his Constitutional Rights however he sees fit. In my opinion, he is no less patriotic for disrespecting our flag, and he is no less American for choosing to make a political event out this tragedy. If our citizens can't do so without being ostracized from the nation, then maybe we are the problem. . .

SP5 Christine Conley - Well played!

I'm Pro-Gun, albeit pro-sense, and as an individual, I didn't find the day of the tragedy to be the appropriate timing, as I never have for part events either. However, the day after was long enough to start the discussion, but some have been milking that excuse for much longer than necessary, basically filibustering the American attention span to avoid the discussion. They know it only lasts for so long before the population can be redirected back to a topic of choice. What better than to draw False Equivalency between the Vegas Shooter and an unpopular social issue?
