Why is this news, MSG (Join to see)? Because POTUS recently presented this to Congress with some significant *asks* attached. And, with the status of our debt and the speculative budget... there are a number of questions that will need to be answered.

I agree that there is some horse trading going on SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth. But will we get a thoroughbred or will we get a nag that is one horseshoe away from the glue factory?

Mexico will (most likely) never pay a single Peso for the wall, 1stSgt Nelson Kerr.

As I first posted, Trump has always laid out his priorities. If Democrats and some Republicans don't understand that, they haven't been listening or were "dreaming" that they wouldn't be forced to take a stance.
Trump deliberately decided to drop DACA for a reason. It was to force Democrats to do more than stall bills. Democrats don't have enough votes to create a bill that would allow people under DACA to remain here. Even if they can find enough Republicans to support the bill, there isn't enough to defeat a veto. Trump can force Democrats and Republicans to either come up with a compromise that allows those under DACA to stay here and the immigration reforms he wants or not allow a bill to pass.
Before anyone gets there panties in a wad that it isn't fair, etc, Obama used the veto threat plenty of times to get his preferred bills through.
As for the debt, the last administration wasn't concerned about it and drove it up another 10 trillion dollars. I don't think we are going to see a similar increase under Trump.
As for Mexico, we are negotiating on NAFTA at this time and there has been talk about doing away with it. Whether it is dissolved or not, Trump can raise tariffs and pay for the wall. Regardless, a significant reduction in illegal immigrants will reduce our overall spending on social programs, health care, education, and more that could go to paying for the wall.
