Looks like the trend is becoming combat vets murdering Police Officers. The Dallas shooter was a vet also. What is military leadership doing to screen, discover, and stop our military members from making such drastic choices? I know that once the member is out, leadership can't do much, but these thoughts aren't entering these kids heads over a week period of time before they act. There has to be some indicators before they ETS. We may need to address this somehow if it continues.

How can they? I always said that there should be some part of MEPS that focuses in on the psyche of these people. There should also be something very similar on these police forces too. People are damaged from their up bringing Everything starts in childhood....and it is no ones fault...it's just life...because we all have issues of some sort that would be deemed unsuitable.

Funny (not ha-ha), when I heard that this last shooter was prior military, I knew stupid crap like this would come up. Unfortunately, we get a lot of bad press because of the VA issues, our Homeless Vets, the stigma when people hear PTSD and other stuff. Now, unfortunately, two former service members, for what ever reason, decided to go on a killing spree. And as we know, the first thing out of the Medias mouth is "A Former Marine or Former Army Soldier"... blah, blah, blah. Sad, because now we will all be lumped into the same pot.
