SGM Erik Marquez Seems about par for the protesters against Carry permits nationwide.Being more informed would help many ,instead of just ignorantly shooting their mouth off.

These students, along with many College administrators and faculty, ignore what can be learned from the Aurora Cinemark theater shooting by Holmes. They could learn much from a “case study” of the Holmes shooting incident.
Holmes appears to have been sane (in the legal sense of the word), since his actions reflect an intelligent mind carefully planning an insane act, the slaughter of innocent strangers.
Holmes rejected several other more suitable and convenient theaters which were NOT "gun free" for his murderous plans and chose the “gun free” Cinemark . He took care not to endanger himself.
But why did he choose ANY theater at all?
Holmes, in a very telling departure from the norm of student madmen turned mass-murderers, did not kill on his campus. Some 3-4 months earlier, the state supreme court ruled that the Board of Regents at CUD could no longer refuse to allow people with a CCW to carry a gun on campus.
Holmes avoided his "armed campus" and substituted a "gun free zone" at a movie theater. He did not want to take the chance that one of his intended victims might shoot back.
This was a radical departure from the norm.
In every other case of a student turned madman and killer – Columbine, Virginia Tech, even the Sandy Hook killer was an ex-student --- that I have heard of, the psycho student kills people at the place he associates with his failure and frustration -- his campus, which is always a "gun free zone".
It is much the same as the "disgruntled employee" who kills the people at the "gun free" workplace site he associates with all his frustration and failure, and "goes postal" --- as the expression that has become a part of our language puts it.
Holmes was as intelligent as he was insane. He was also not suicidal. He eliminated almost all of the risk to himself from an armed "victim" by substituting the "gun free" Cinemark for his armed campus.

RIGHT ANGLE: CHILDREN BEHAVING BADLY (MEMBERS ONLY)
A remarkably shallow and stupid gun protest at the University of Texas leads to a remarkably deep and insightful conversation. Scott Ott bats first and last with genuine insight into the modern Left.

CW3 Harvey K. - Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I hadn't noticed that this was "Members Only". Too bad, it was a good one.
