She spoke of very strong initiatives. Some easy things individuals can take up:
- take 1-5 minute showers (no longer than you need - you can think and daydream on the toilet)
- don't leave the sink running the whole time while shaving or brushing your teeth
- rain catchers - though I've read there are local laws against this
- hydrate with water-rich foods like strawberries and carrots
What made you think to share this?

The lady on stage had a meeting with a friend of mine who's a professor at a university in Florida yesterday. Florida is starting to come under some of the same issues that so many places do AZ we strive to put swimming pools in the backyard of every home in areas that this type of construction and action causes a critical imbalance of resource. This is just one way to be proactive so that we can all work together protect those resources which are Global Universal to the existence of life on this planet. I have pretty much always been resource aware I have pretty much always been resource and huge earth Day proponent. Most of the information even if it is aware on a local government level is not put before the public you drive from here to I'm in Arizona if you drive from here to Las Vegas driving over the Hoover Dam you cannot help but notice the DraStic shortage of water in areas of Nevada and how much lower that lake is today than it was even 3 years ago and 10 times more than it was 10 years ago. Unless we start to put the information before the public so that they can individually begin to take accountability for the conservation and protection of critical life resources we will soon be faced with a at minimum severely increased desertification of regions in the United States.

Also in terms of rain catchers, yes certainly you want to take a look at your local laws regarding the use of this type and Method. However generally speaking Most states do allow for raincatchers though there are some city regions and zoning where it is not allowed to have it. I will say that before wide use of private construction installments of rain catchers. That certainly at the very least potential environmental factors within a certain region should be evaluated. So for example if you are in an area that say has a lot of mercury in the ground you probably don't want to be catching water they're all you wanted to do is just potentially pollute the water table and exacerbate the situation that you're trying to prevent. Running water purifies itself every hundred feet so as rain water runs off is actually purifying a lot of things out of there that we don't want in there so if you are in a high-risk area for environmental factors near catching that water potential for a introduction of higher amounts of pollution into the water table.
