It matters not if it's true. The constant stream of rumors and allegations are intended to hamstring the Trump Administration until the Swamp can secure itself and a new President, one whom they approve of, can be elected

The strategy is to swamp the boat with non stop salacious stories, accusations, insourced scandals etc. You have literally dozens of media outlets doing this. Some start them,. some repeat them. None of it has to be true, they know the margin of victory was thin so they need only move small numbers.
They made the mistake thinking HRC could beat Trump with both hands tied behind her back. They went after Trump in 2016 but this time they are emptying the magazine. There will be no unspent rounds left.
