Feinstein has stated that this is a slippery slope that she intends to use to disarm America.

Yes, it is, yes, it is. We all know that - pro and anti gun alike.
Any knowledge of the ‘ask for an inch - take a mile’ attitude and goals of the left tells you that. Even reading the article is unnecessary.

I have issues with the specific wording in HR 3999 as well as Feinsteins proposed bill because they are too vague and would be prone to abuse but in general I don't think every stupid accessory that you can attach to a gun does or should enjoy 2nd amendment protection.

Bump stocks and similar devices are and always have been stupid gimmicks that didn't even have a use case a month ago. Not only will I not feel the least bit bad to see these things banned I believe that gun owners digging in our heels and fighting against any bans on these will be counterproductive in terms of protecting our gun rights because it will serve to play right into the narrative that gun grabbers have made up about gun owners.

I will give up bump stocks for national reciprocity and the hearing protection act. It would also be nice if they would make some new full autos.
