Glad to see you are coming around, considering the last time this happened was when they wrote the actual constitution, I'm a bit more confident in it's ability to come up with a good end state. 3/4's of the States are needed to ratify any amendments so it's a tall order to actually get anything passed, which makes it impossible for a runaway convention.

I would recommend reading Mark Levin's Liberty Amendments. He explains the difference between a Constitutional Convention and the Convention of the States (Cos). They are not the same thing. The Article V CoS is a mechanism designed to allow the states to recommend amendments only. The founders knew that the legislators themselves would never limit their own power.

OK, sports fans, let's see if we can get 2/3 of members here to agree to one single issue that could be addressed by a Convention of States. Just one.
Throw out some idea and then maybe someone can take to top 3 or 4 and post a poll for us to vote on.

Limit Congress to 2 terms (following the example of the amendment to limit the POTUS to 2 terms).

All business to be set aside during your term in office, to include foundations, causes, non-profits, etc. (You are in office, concentrate on the affairs of office.)

Any laws passed apply to ALL equally.

Balanced budget.

These are the main 4 I been seeing bantered about by the various efforts to call a Convention of States.

I also think we need a separation of business and state.

SSgt (Join to see) - I could go along with term limits, but that would have to be tied to ending gerrymandering.
Balanced budget? Yes, but a means to override in national emergencies.
Separation of business and state? Elaborate please.
