Apples and oranges. US District Court on a plea bargain is different from a Court-Martial without a plea. The district judge also didn't have to consider unlawful command influence nor was Prezas held in captivity for five years. I'm sure that the PSI factors were different too.

And again as I've said in other threads, the judge, and the judge alone is responsible for the sentence that Bergdahl received...not President Trump.

I don't believe he was held captive 5 year .....he was a collaborator for 5 years. every other person they have killed.

Capt Gregory Prickett
SSG(P) (Join to see) - OK. You're wrong, but you are welcome to hold that opinion. What are you going to do if the Army Court of Criminal Appeals tosses the dishonorable discharge based on unlawful command influence? Are you at all familiar with the process that the case will follow now? Because it's not over, nor is it a final conviction.
And Trump's comments today increase the likelihood that the conviction or sentence may be tossed. Calling the sentence "a complete and total disgrace" may be accurate, but it may also serve to lessen the punishment even more.
