So is the POS an atheist or a Christian or Antifa or in-between? His FB pages noted that he taught bible school at a church, but he also linked to several atheist pages, too. Whether that is because he was atheist or was confronting atheists is not clear. There are also comments that he had posted pics of an Antifa flag, along with comments that he had not, and it was photoshopped.

He had served in the Air Force, was court-martialed, and dishonorably discharged, but I haven't been able to locate anything on that.

In any event, his actions need to be condemned regardless of what group he affiliated with, or even if he was going back and forth between multiple groups.

SGT Jim Arnold - I don't know if you mean in general or in this case. If you mean in this case, I don't think it matters regardless...the guy is dead as he should be.

SGT Jim Arnold - all courts-martial are public record, but the court may seal the records in certain cases, for example rape of a child.

Great, I am sure that that most atheist would be really upset at what happened today. This is not a secular shiya vs Sunni or Muslim vs. Christian terrorist Act. Nobody in his right mind atheist otherwise would condone this. The real tragedy. And this guy probably was a lone wolf. The Lone Wolf Canadian Muslim terrorist for mostly druggies as well. The one who killed a Canadian warrant officer with a car in 2014 as well as the one who killed a soldier the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and stormed the Canadian Parliament was also a druggie who both either converted or were radicalized and decided to go out and their version of a blaze of glory.

I don't know if we can say he was an Atheist for sure, apparently he "liked" some Atheism related groups on Facebook, but he also had taught Bible School.

It's worth noting that I consider myself "Touched by His Noodly Appendage" but I am very much not an Atheist.

Weapon resembles a Ruger AR556. He got a DD so something went wrong. Very sad and tragic.

Edit: change DD to BCD - for spouse/child abuse, his weapons check allegedly came back clean

I thought a DD was equivalent to a felony, seems like that would (or should) prevent one from legally owning a gun.

My understanding is that federal law prohibits ownership of firearms by those who have been discharged under dishonorable conditions. A DD is not an administrative discharge—it is the result of a GCM and is considered a felony conviction.

PO1 Robert Payne - thanks, I saw dishonorable and should have read further, it has been reported as a BCD for spouse/child abuse, also that his background check came back clean, sorry for any confusion
