I'm pretty sure when I was in the Army there was an E - Coli MRE on the menu. Not bad if you added 20 mini bottles of Tabasco.

I went through San Diego in 2014. The chow hall workers were civilian contractors for a company called Sodexo and some of them were special needs or had some other form of disability. Some of the drill instructors called them blueberries because of the blue shirts they wore. They had supervisors wearing white shirts that were normal contractors. Without trying to sound disrespectful, some of them seemed a little off, however while I was there they were always extremely nice and I never saw a problem from my extremely small grid square. This was at MCRD as well the chow hall at Edson Range.

PVT Robert Gresham The sooner they resolve this, the better. I went through Boot Camp in San Diego. I went back to MCRD San Diego, for Field Radio Operator School. Before starting school, I had 30 days of mess duty. We put in long hours, and a big part of our job was making sure that we had a clean and sanitary mess hall.
