I've always felt bad for Melania Trump, who has been thrust into a public position she likely never could have imagined or desired. I think she has done the best she can under very difficult circumstances. But here is a cute video of her in Korea. The teen girls are nice to her, but when the KPOP idol shows up, they can't contain themselves. I think it would be like one of the Beatles walking up to a group of girls in the 1960s. And it's the first time I've seen Melania with a genuine smile during a public event. The pressure on her must be enormous.

Melania Trump and her family have been savaged by the press in this country for about 2 years straight now. Could she have imagined this being the case? Probably not after seeing how the press swooned over the Obama's and treated the first family with kid gloves (as they should have). She has seen no kid gloves from them ever.
If she were the wife of a democrat she would be heralded as the second coming of Jackie O. and we all know it. She is beautiful and elegant and also very smart, successful and confident. She speaks 5 languages, has run successful enterprises and still has to take crap from journalist who likely barely made it through college.
She has seen her son ridiculed in the press, her husbands head (in effigy) cut off, his murder simulated in plays and videos ad nasseum. She has been attacked for wearing the wrong shoes boarding AF1 and gets picked at for wearing expensive clothes which, by the way, she paid for herself, no tax collars involved. We live in a country full of petty people that launch petty attacks because they are, petty. Some of the other petty people just lap it up like kittens at the bowl of milk.

Cpl Jeff N. It is sad that families get caught up in the mess. I hated seeing the Obama Family, Bush Family, Clinton Family, etc. trashed through their tenure and it continues today. Dealing with Monkey pictures, Obama assassination in a play, etc. It's all very sad indeed.

She has been in a far different spotlight for much of her life. But she is handling herself now with amazing poise and grace. She is steadily becoming one of our most valuable First Ladies.

The first lady has been in the public eye for most of her life. She seems awkward because she speaks five languages and knows that the media would love to catch her saying something wrong.
