FBI investigating Democratic rep over payments to primary challenger

I don't know what the problem is with this. People are free to run for office, and people who run for office drop out of the race. It happens all the time. Why should it matter if the reason one candidate drops out is the other candidate paid him to drop out?

Now, covering up the payment and lying about it could be a big problem, that part I get.

He is the political boss in Philadelphia. Nothing gets done that doesn't get his blessing. And people don't get elected without his say so.
