some people need to read before commenting...
JV sued Kyle while he was alive and won the case, the year before kyle died, because Kyle lied or if we are being polite "embellished" to sell a book he lost the case in 2012. Not only about JV but multiple other stories in the book. As corroborated by people who served with Kyle.
He didn't wait until after he passed away.
The case was appealed in 2013 after his death by the family, who now didn't want to pay since Kyle had died.
JV did nothing wrong, JV completed his bud's training and became an EOD diver but never saw combat, that doesn't diminish him as a soldier/veteran at all.
if i told a story about you talking trash about an institution/brotherhood you support, and claim that i knocked you on your ass for it, and made money off of that story, wouldn't you sue me to reclaim your besmirched honor...

It's good to see that there is actually someone here in possession of the facts. I find it nothing short of amazing that people would see a Hollywood movie and think it's the truth. When Hollywood says "based on a true story", they mean "this movie vaguely resembles a story that someone else told and almost almost nothing here is actually true."

Its crazy that all these other SM have no idea what they are talking about.....wait no it's not. However, this post represents the truth. I will add that this is not the only thing Chris Kyle lied about. Many of his claimed awards cannot be verified by the US Navy or DOD.

This asshole is an "Honorary" SEAL. He never did and never could complete the actual SEAL training. He would not have filed this if Chis Kyle was still alive. He is an opportunist. Hell he wasn't even a very good wrestler or actor.
