Mass exodus of trainees homeward bound for holidays

Wish they had to fly in a form of dress uniform. Tired of seeing the camoflauge uniform boarding planes that are not going to the war zone. Hope that changes soon.

Great time for these folks to be with family. I remember working at Goodfellow AFB where we trained all of DoD in intel and firefighting. When it came time for Christmas we had what was called Exodus. Our force support and Tickets and tours would work with bus companies and airlines a month out to get these kids home and back. We would muster them up in the Gym and based on the airport you were flying out of and departure would be the bus you would get on. We would have snacks and drinks while they waited to depart and then once they left the base was pretty empty and quiet. Then after the new year we captured them back the same way to ensure they all got back ok and safe.

Yes, I am on a flight to Dallas today going through Atlanta. Lots of tree suits in the airport. Looks like someone left the Army barn door open.
