I have been interested in watching some of the Nat Geo and Discovery military programming. With all the editing how does it compare to your personal experience LTC Jason Mackay ?

I did not serve in OIR against ISIL. What I have watched so far has been featuring round 3 in Iraq against ISIS-ISIL. My comparison was of the Fort Campbell Welcome Home featured in episode one. There is nothing like it. You march in formation into the hangar when you de-plane. The colors are leading you in. Your families are cheering you on. A GO or key leader will say a few words and welcome you back. Then it goes crazy....Families! Go find your soldier. Nothing like it.

The Long Road Home was really good.

Cynthia Croft - Thank you. I am preparing for my next deployment. Exciting times! I'll be away from Rally Point but I'm sure you all will be fine. I'm practicing with the weighted chain but somehow want to keep my teeth from being knocked out. What's the correct way to do a wrap and throw combination?

Me too! How did we watch TV before DVR...like savages huddled over the TV Guide stuck at home at that time, fending off roommates or siblings for priority of station. Truly the dark ages
