The GOP doesn't run anyone in Cook county, it is impossible to win, so this guy knows how to get some attention. I think we will get far fewer votes than Senator Robert Byrd, a life long democrat and klansman from West Virginia and a close Clinton family friend.

I don't think they can stop him from running as a republican. The party will not endorse or support him but if he registers that way I think he can run that way.

He'll get votes from the uneducated that only vote based upon an (R) or a (D) after the name on the ballot.

MAJ (Join to see) - Well there is at least one I suppose and he is running.
Im sure there are a hand full of supporters as well who will vote for him...Im also sure, that district will remain under democrat control as it has since 1973

MAJ (Join to see) - That is proven to be false by the simple fact that he is running.

Sgt John Steinmeier 60,000+ people voted R back in 2014. It's probably safe to say that a bunch of them are still there.

Considering 60+% of the district is Democrat... it really doesn't make any difference other than some idiot's political ploy to demonize the opposition which is what this article is really about.

I checked. The party does not recognize him and will not support him. In Illinois the CANDIDATE declares his party affiliation.

MAJ (Join to see) - In 2014, there were 60,000 Republican votes. Any bets how many of them vote for the "Republican" in this election?

MAJ Bryan Zeski - To quote a prominent felon, "at this point what difference does it make??" It's a lost district in any case.

I think it goes towards the integrity of the voters there. I think integrity still means something, doesn't it?
