It's not a bad looking medal, and is rarely awarded. It's clearly appropriate in these cases. I'm still opposed to military honors at the funeral, however.

Award and funeral, I vote yes. Takes the spot light away from that turd and instead shows that as a country we award those who do the right thing. His story is a blue print on the army values.
