Do I want to believe something that will confirm my preexisting biases, or do I want to apply Occam's razor and admit that without a massive amount of evidence to the contrary, these events are generally unfolding as they appear in newspapers, television and professional news organizations.

Too many Americans are choosing the former instead of the later...

I think the answer is clear: many want to confirm their preexisting biases. I could give you a list of names......LOL

I believe the Internet is the biggest threat to the Union. It may very well be what brings us down.

MSG Stan Hutchison - That usually takes a few minutes of thought and research. For example the slime that bring up the crisis actor garbage can be shown to be lying scum quite easily.

On the gun issue we say, "It's the people, not the guns." On the internet, do we not have to say the same thing? I think the danger is the cyberbots from other countries (Russia first) that incite people who they think are just like them. If we don't get ahead of that now, yes, it can destroy the country. My frustration is that I'm not seeing a hue and cry from Congress, the administration, etc., on it. That IMO is the election fraud issue, not voting machines. People will tell you they aren't influenced, but they surely are, just like they are with advertising. The advertising world wouldn't spend billions if it didn't work, and the Russians wouldn't spend money advertising on social media if that didn't work.

I'd like to see how Russia works the midterms - if they are at it again cut the cable.

Mistrust runs deep when public officials are not held accountable - wiping emails servers, lying about having sex with interns and so on. MSM as well pushing a political agenda instead of reporting the news conflates the idea that something is rotten in Denmark. As well as we have dumbed down America to the lowest common denominator - lack of intelligence as well contributes to these type of narratives.

it is not a matter f mistrust it is a matter of vermin doing things like accusing kids of being things like crisis actors. when a couple of minitutesting for real reach will show that that is imbeciloc. it is going for the implausible lie by concussion choice because it suites your hatered. Have you ever seen a time when crisis actors were a real thing and not the proctor of twisted minds .

You're explaining the effect where im suggesting a cause. Lies typically only work when intelligence is lacking.

SPC David S. - I would add that lies work when when hate overwhelms reason.
