While it's easy enough to dismiss these kids as ignorant of the realities of guns and gun violence (and to be sure they are) I believe that gun rights supporters do so at our own peril.
The fact that they are ignorant is the problem and it's a huge one. They are buying the lies that gun control advocates are feeding them, and they are going to be old enough to vote in 5-10 years, meanwhile the generations that grew up around guns continue to get older.
The NRA and gun rights advocates need to double down on education because as I see it the future does not look bright for gun owners.

Okay, these walkouts are not about gun rights. These children are simply demonstrating how well they have been indoctrinated by the Left (which is now joined by China and the Ayotallah in Iran calling for America to disarm). Well, we won't disarm, but our children might one day. That's the message here. Read it and weep...

Number of schools involved in mass shootings in 2018......18!!! Number of guns legally allowed on these campuses.....0!!!!! Number of police departments buildings involved in mass shootings in the last 20 years.....0!!!!!! Number of employees with guns.....ah everybody!!!! Lets see if progressive thinking can put two and two together.

That "18 mass shootings" has been debunked. It was reported by the anti-gun site called everytownresearch.org. They purport that "Since 2013, there have been more than 300 school shootings in America — an average of about one a week.". They are dishonest as they fail to mention that many of those "school shootings" includes suicides, "celebratory fire", and accidental (negligent) discharges, and one-on-one fights rather than Columbine-style massacres.

SGT William Howell progressives are not interested in putting 2 and 2 together. That would involve logic and truth in math skills. The only number they are interested in is 0, but they’ll lie all around it to incrementally inch closer to that goal.

I just don’t get it. I saw an interview this morning these 2 teachers were talking about arming teachers. The first said that she is a teacher and her responsibility was to provide a safe place to teach her students and she could not do that with guns in the classroom. Wha....? A guy running in the classroom killing everybody is much more conducive to learning. She has a legal responsibility to provide the same safety and security that I would as a parent. I carry a gun everywhere so I can protect my children. She should be required to do the same. The other assclown teacher talks about that we should just ban ARs because that are designed for just one thing.....killing. You know “for the children”. You would think a “teacher” would know that our forefathers wanted us to have the guns “that kill”. The 2nd Amendment was made so we can stop a tyrannical government from taking over, not for target shooting or hunting. Pretty sure that “teacher” has not a clue.

I agree with your thoughts. I would offer that these students, nation wide, didn't simply "walk out". This was organized by someone older and smarter than the kids that were eating Tide Pods the week before the Florida shooting. These students are being used and managed. Indoctrinated. "We are demonstrating next Tuesday. Or you can do a 20 page report on Gun Control." I'm not saying it went down like that, but it goes deeper than folks seem to believe.
