It is written as the classic sob story by CNN. They act as though he had no day in court that ICE just showed up and deported him with no hearing etc. He had a chance with his service to have gained citizenship but he had to keep his nose clean. He did not do so, for whatever the reasons.

PTSD is a fast and easy cop out for any poor behavior by veterans these days. It hurts all of us who served honorably and have played by the rules to have others making veterans look like incompetent criminals and felons who cannot control themselves and then make excuses for their poor behavior. Own it and move on.

No one seems to be disputing the conviction, they just don't like the outcome. Tough luck. As John Wayne said "life is tough, it's even tougher if you are stupid".

The fact is he made an argument in court while facing his FELONY Conviction and obviously the Jury and Judge did not lower or adjudicate the charge.......so why should he get a second review with no change in evidence. It's not how our court system works.

Its even tougher when it originated on Obama's watch and CNN is trying to sell it as a Trump sob story. Crappy News Network.

General discharge after he was caught smoking marijuana on base while having a green card status - the irony. Selling 2 pounds of cocaine to an undercover officer - the reality - In IL over 900 grams is 15 to 60 years.

And yet Senator Tammy Duckworth is defending him and wants to give him more victims.........I mean another chance. After all, there is that wartime service which should wash clean any postwar criminal activity regardless of the Jury trial by Judge. Lovely interpretation of our criminal court system by a sitting Senator.

Another point, this began in 2010, who was president then. Obama could have given him a pardon, why didn't he? Lots of bad dudes were pardoned, why not him?
