In many ways we are, PO1 Tony Holland. To the examples in the article I would add two from Farenheit 451: the disdain for physical books and desire for talking walls (e.g. huge flat screen TVs). Bradbury called it a long time ago. Excellent post.

Watch this, it's not a perfect discussion, and the flavor isn't all I'd hoped for, plus, he's being misunderstood on !any levels, though the science is quite real...there are numerous other papers and YouTube videos on his research and that of his group on adinkra graphs arising in supersymmetry theory, that's real science, trust me, OK?
