I feel that I need to do a retraction on my statement. Because I am not watching anything NFL I did not watch Inside the NFL, but I took Mr. Lewis' advise and watched the clip where he explained the situation. He spoke eloquently and passionately about what went on. You have my deepest apology for speaking without getting all the facts.

As long as people can disagree and protest peacefully and within the law, there is nothing wrong with protest. It could be argued that our Revolution was a form of protest and rejection of oppression by a dictator. I'm not comparing this movement to our fight for Independence, just saying that when people protest it will cause resistance. It's a good starting point but will require maturity by all parties concerned. Violence is no longer protest. Anyone that doesn't believe there are serious issues that need to be resolved is in denial. Likewise, those that resort to violence when there are more productive means is also part of the problem. Communication is key and without it the message not only stops being heard, but is lost in the fray.
