Marine Corps nearing contract award for new amphibious combat vehicle

Always regretted that the MC did not have more mechanized, motorized capability and was largely limited to ship to shore movement and ground pounding thereafter. Such is the lot of the light infantry. Maybe this vehicle will have more versatility in land operations than the LVPT 7.
