"Her survey also assessed “social dominance orientation,” a common psychological measure of a person’s belief in hierarchy as necessary and inherent to a society. People who exhibited a growing belief in such group dominance were also more likely to move toward Mr. Trump, Dr. Mutz found, reflecting their hope that the status quo be protected.

Why not release a link to the actual study to see her methodology in the article? I know you are just posting this, I just get frustrated by both sides writing these articles that support entrenched ideas with "supposed" authoritative studies but there is never a link. These are the same people, same mentality, that told everyone prior to the election that their polls and studies proved there is no way that Trump would win...

Why did the author not measure this empirically in her study? It appears to me that the Dr. is putting forth their own bias or belief without evidence in a study that is supposed to be about measured results.
What is this really about? This is about fostering a political narrative that one group is homogeneus and all thinks and acts or in this case votes alike. What if it were actually the opposite. What if one political party is upset that they have lost a particular group due to their ideology? And could we be seeing a splinter in this narrative today playing out on the MSM with a musician and a millennial that are bucking the trend??
I don't think supporters of the POTUS fear loosing status. I think they fear the rule of law being subjugated to only be for the lower classes and not the elite class that run this country. We see this being played out today minus the Cosby ruling. But that justice took years with 50+ victims required to finally bring a predator to justice for his crimes. We rarely see the political elite pay any price for the crimes they commit and the People see right through this injustice.
