Scouting (and I have two Eagle Scouts, a Life Scout and a Tenderfoot - and One Junior Girl Scout) has been "reached" by the Alt-Left. It has never been about human sexuality. Scouting doesn't teach it, Scouting doesn't talk about it, and it's not what we do. Yet, in order to stop over $1 million in law suits each year, Scouting capitulated and allows openly gay Scouts. What does that even mean? Gay Scouts and Scouters were never banned from the beginning, they, along with heterosexuals, were banned from sexual BEHAVIOR. Now girls in Boy Scouts. For the life of me I have no idea how Scouting will survive trying to keep adolescent boys and girls separated on an overnight camp out, the crux of Boy Scouting.

I remember some of the jamborees. We'd sit around the fire trying to figure out a way to sneak into the Girl Scout reservation/campsite without getting caught by either side's leaders. It never worked out very well for us.

My wife and I are "free market" types. If the group/organization/etc. doesn't conform to your ideas then you have a couple of choices. Quit said group, or start your own. The LDS church will be following both. Of course, it seems America is against my views in this. I'm the type who says, "Don't like smoking in bars and clubs? Start your own non-smoking bar and/or club." You'd think it was rocket science but the responses I get to that.

100%, Barry. Unfortunately, that way of thinking didn't occur to those who relentlessly sued the Boy Scouts. Discrimination? It's a private organization. Daughters of the American Revolution don't take male applicants. Girl Scouts don't take boys and don't ask about other things that have nothing to do with their program. But, Boy Scouts is still what we make of it, like life. It will change over time. For me, the downhill track started when they removed RED from the uniform and replaced it with olive green.

MAJ Montgomery Granger have to say you are right the lawsuit have killed many councils already now there is a law firm that advertising for victims to come forward. They also rereleased the Bsa old lists again trying to milk the cow. I have one problem many of these guys were never charged or went to court, there was no due process. Some on this list were identified as only gay.

I agree, that's wrong. Publicly shaming a convicted criminal is one thing, but accusations alone aren't enough to convict or punish someone.
