The teams doing the searching and retrieval are really unsung Heroes, IMO. The weather and terrain is no joke. Well done.

PO3 Bob McCord - Air Force EOD (and Army) works with them to clear the areas for ordnance as they dig. Long hours and back breaking work from what I hear. Then the lab in Hawaii had to identify them. All worth it for every GI they bring up and home.

PO3 Bob McCord - I'm sure it was always tense with the way they did booby traps all of the time. I think we have guys there to pre sweep for ordnance that might be there and anything they might dig up.
I hope to talk to any of the team members some day and pick their brains and thank them for what they do.

PO3 Bob McCord - I seen video and pics of the jungle. Can't imagine maneuvering troops in it.
