Ther e was another thread I sent this in on, about specialist ranks, a few mons ago, I recalled seeing this rank insignia, I don't think anyone ever !mentioned it on here....

This was a WWII rank used between 1942 and 1948. There were 7 grades of rank. The 7th grade was the PVT-No insignia. The 6th grade was the PFC-one stripe. The 5th grade was the Corporal-two stripes and the Technician Fifth grade-two stripes with a T under them. The 4th Grade was the Sergeant-3 stripes and the Technician Fourth grade-Three stripes with a T under them. The 3rd grade was the Staff Sergeant-Three stripes and one rocker and the Technician Third grade-Three stripes and one rocker with a T under them. The 2nd grade was the Technical Sergeant-Three stripes and 2 rockers. The 1st grade was the Master Sergeant-Three stripes and Three rockers and the First Sergeant-Three stripes and Three rockers with a diamond in the middle. Many thanks, I'd seen it as I'd said, in various videos and/or movies, as well as read of it in either novels about military and/or historical topics, or historical works about WW2, I just had always left it in he back of my mind, and was obv just curious about it, I finally realized as I'd said, no one had ever raised it here, I just figured it'd be worthwhile bringing up, obviously, much appreciated, of course....

Notice the capital T below the chevron? I'd thought it was for Sgt level, three upper rockers, apparently I was wrong, it clearly applied at a Cpl level, two upper rockers, I don't know if it applied to Sgt level as well, I always found hat insignia curious, I'd seen it many times in various videos,mas well as in films, also !mentioned in military/historical novels and various nonfiction historical works....
