The list of reasons that people look for someone to blame for a loss is unlimited. You know..., I had a well thought out, well written response (not negative either) to this, but I thought better.

The thing is, people allow disinformation to inform them because they WANT it to be true.
In this situation, truth is tainted, and different then the promised outcome, and thus discounted.
This is the bread and butter of anyone working on the dark spectrum of information operations.
Another, also true item is that whoever lies first drives the narrative. The administration has effectively mastered this through twitter and other social media. Others are playing catch-up through mostly conventional media. That is like lighting a fire with matches when the other guy has a flamethrower - the fire will burn, but only in the exact places you place it.
One last thought for the day: "Exciting" disinformation is now so prevalent and frequent that the "boring" truth often gets drowned out as the news cycle moves to the next outrage nexus.
Anybody see what happened with all of those separated minors on the border? The ones so many people were furious about? Nope. The subject has changed several times since, and that was the hot item on the 4th of July. Both parties and their media arms have gotten extremely good at changing the subject when bad news for them hits, so we never learn what happened unless we have the discipline to dig deep and find out for ourselves. This feeds the notion of separate camps with nothing in common, and it is purposeful.
Chew on that thought for a moment. THEY ARE DOING THIS ON PURPOSE.
It will also endanger our republic if it continues much longer.
It is one great big PSYOP (actually 3 or 4 concurrent ones) where the objective is to fortify and incrementally increase your numbers while engaging in attrition on the others' groups. NONE of these have your best interests at heart; they only seek to enrich and empower themselves.
