given the Austin motto of "Keep Austin Weird" I have to wonder what will come out of this liberal bastion.

Austin is way to SJW and hosts violence-prone communist sympathizers, aka antifa. Imagine what it will look like with the local civilian staff they will be hiring. What did alinsky tell his followers to do, cut your hair, don a suit and become the system. Yeah, I disagree with that move.

Austin is a Blue city in a sea of Red, but i've been here for 20+ years and they are very supportive of the Military. I think this is a good thing. But It'll be interesting to see where they put the physical location. Anyone below the rank of O3 can't afford to live anywhere in Austin. The commutes are ridiculous so I'm hoping they put it in the outskirts.

MAJ Milan George - There used to be an old air force base there, when I heard that they were considering Austin I assumed they would occupy that base. Who knows, they will find someplace that meets the requirements.

LTC (Join to see) - Burgstrom AFB is now our main airport. It would be a good location, there's still an Army and Air National Guard section.

Ken Kraetzer Could we call this an un-BRAC move? Given the number of existing facilities within 100 miles of Austin, seems like it makes sense to me.
