I have to laugh at this one. Of course they hired him back. The public backlash was huge. The funny part is that someone actually believed that firing the guy was a good idea in the first place. However, if I were him I would be looking for a new job. An employer that doesn't appreciate good employees such as him is not one that I would work at.

I might have gone back, but only if they rewrote their idiotic policy. I guess my other question is, why are not employees working in the firearms area armed. I don't know of one firearms store, not a sporting goods store, where the employees are not armed. At least none of the ones I frequent.

I agree on looking for new employment, immediately. Public backlash ruled the day here, but in a couple of months when the propwash settles what's to stop them finding another reason and quietly walking him out the door.
