Another misleading headline. What the story actually conveyed is:
___________________________________________________________________________________
No less than 26 percent of Americans say they agree that "the president should have the authority to close news outlets engaged in bad behavior."
"Some 43 percent of Republicans say yeah, let the president shut down media operations he doesn't like. And 12 percent of Democrats agree, along with 21 percent of independents."
________________________________________________________________________________
It was a poll taken by Ipsos and we all know how accurate polls are. It isn't just some people identified in a poll as Republicans but also democrats and independents.

You might want to read up on the Obama administration going after the media with the DOJ. This actually happened, it is not a poll.

Both the AP and Fox were targets. This is an actual story of government abuse, not a poll about it. There are lots of stories about the actual abuse by the government out there to read if you are really worried about the feds going after the media. It has happened, very recently.

MSgt (Join to see) If you’re referring to my political party during POTUS #44’s term, then that would be the GOP.

Cpl Jeff N. The polling questions were asked with a specific slant as noted by the author of the article, “A caveat about the poll: The Ipsos methodology, involving online panels and statistical adjustments, is not as reliable as a random telephone survey. But even if the numbers are somewhat off, they are still troubling.”
I haven’t made it appear that POTUS #45 has done anything. The article is talking about the thinking of a number of respondents to the poll about what “they” think POTUS #45 should do.

As a side note, 40% of young people say freedom of speech is dangerous according to a Washington Post poll.

Getting your feelings hurt and those mean guns are the most dangerous things on the planet. Apparently.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - The Tech companies are pulling, deleting and restricting Conservative and Opinion Based/Satire Commentators.
They have done this via the constant calls from CNN and others to censor their opposition and or removed.
Even Rep Maxine Waters has called for Conservatives to be harassed.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - There may be calls to have the POTUS to do something.
I do pray that instead the Tech Companies are taken to court and the current laws are applied to them.
Even the gov could press laws against them. There are some great legal minds that say that the Tech Companies have grossly over stepped.
