Very true about finding the right school - I went back to school to get my MBA and the school I decided on, Benedictine University, was due to it being very military/first responder friendly. At one point for active military the University was free for active duty. As well older in the class room was the norm which made it easy to connect to other service members - we are not hard to spot. The school still offers 25% off for just having a DD-214.

I went back to film school and had great experience. Got along with all my professors and fellow students. Overall a 100% positive experience.

A lot of truth here. I went back after I retired for a second masters. I found professors who were welcoming and several who weren't and clearly thought I was a baby killer of some kind. Bizarre.

Lt Col Charlie Brown
Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - the absurd part is that one of them wanted to lecture me about killing babies while defending abortion on demand (really??)
