CPT Jack Durish
My first published book "Dream Pirates" was written for college students with 3rd grade reading levels, but found a second life in ESL classes.

CPT Jack Durish I'm so glad to hear you're a writer that I forgot my initial thoughts. Please pardon me.

PFC Kimberly Staiti - Happens to me all the time, but then, I'm old. What's your excuse?

I remember an incident when I gave a draft of a memo to our new departmental secretary. I received the typed copy back from her with all sorts of "modern", "gender neutral" references such as "his/her" and "their" replacing my original text.
I conferred with her, and explained that my education in English (I had currently completed all requirements but my thesis for my M. A. in English Literature) disinclined me to embrace such neologisms, and asked her not to act as my editor.
I'm glad to say she agreed to my request. She was too pretty and pleasant a woman to quarrel with.
