Back when practiced Drill was a battlefield essential. 17 steps to fire your weapon for example and had to be times not to disrupt the man standing close to either side.

Prussia wasn't our Ally during the revolution unfortunately. We faced more Prussian forces than we fought with but that didn't stop a good amount from joining our ranks to help family or neighbors (as many of the colonists in certain areas were of German heritage themselves).

True, but WWII proved the saying, “What goes around, comes around.” If another World War happened today, a new mix of allies and enemies.

I read the French were very helpful with their global war against the British. One of the resultants was the British could not focus all her might in the Revolutionary war.
