Sgt Wayne Wood These girls understood what it meant to defend a nation. It is one thing to kill a man at the distance of a rifle or the sanitary environment of a bomb from a plane. It is another thing altogether to be right there next to the man, to look him in the eye, and to take his life. I have great respect and sorrow for what these girls had to do to defend the free world. I am glad they were the people that the world needed then.
