I saw this after the BBC article piqued my interest. There is also a group that is recreating this aircraft with original plans and modern materials. Should be interesting.

I've been delving into all that Wunderwaffen junk those lunatcs had a long, long time now, I found a lot more besides that story that was a whole lot weirder, I never knew if it was true or urban legend, honest...those morons were all completely nuts, obviously, the Japs of the period also, certainly....

When you turn a group of engineers loose and fund them, they come up with some amazing things, look at the SR71. From what I have read, that was an engineering idea too.
