My father is a Navy Corpsman who retired right when this pin was being implemented. As a prior service Marine, I have the upmost respect for what Navy Corpsmen do for the Marines. I think it's awesome they're awarded an FMF pin as it symbolizes their accomplishmets of making it through Corps school and sets them apart from their peers.

Sir FMF is not just for Corpsman, it is for all personnel assigned and or attached with Marines. We had around 100 from our unit qualify down range, while assigned with I MEF units. Then you have the LS's, IT's IS's and RP's and a couple other Navy Rates that serve with Marines.
