Some used to hold the VA system as being a model for a "single payer" model for the rest of us. No thanks. While I have never used the VA system for anything I have seen both very good care (for my Dad) and have read about some concerning care or lack thereof. If you find yourself writing letters to congressmen/women to get treatment you are in real trouble.
