This is pretty close to the mark for the Boston Globe. Whether you believe Ford's allegations against Kavanagh or not (I don't) there is little doubt she was used by Feinstein and the democrats for political gain. The only people that will have to live with this, the rest of their lives, will be Kavanagh and his family and Ford and hers. They were put through the wringer for a political purpose by the democrats. They ought to have known better but the opportunity to derail a SCOTUS appointee was simply too great to them. It had to be pursued even with wreck less destruction likely.

She was used, manipulated and thrown under under the bus. I think the Republicans should force an investigation on who released her letter.

I agree but they will not. For some reason the GOP thinks they can play nice with the democrats even after this last display of raw political partisanship with the end goal of destroying anything in the way of stopping Kavanagh, including Ford.
Ford was a willing participant in this to some degree. If she did not want to be outed, why write a letter? The letter is a written document, it can be put on the record, forwarded, leaked etc. I think she wanted to sink a knife into Kavanagh anonymously but it didn't work out that way. She was a political operative that was swept into a political maelstrom she could not control.

Cpl Jeff N. - I think things have changed. I don't think the R's are willing to be the nice, gentlemen that they have been in the past. Having President Trump, ironically, has given them a backbone. Also, it is easier to stand up when the other side is completely bat sh#t crazy....

I have said all along that this was a chess game and the two players were Kavanaugh and Ford. It is amazing that after the vote you haven't heard one word or cry from the democrats about investigating the other two allegations...HMMMMM. They claim to be for womens rights but all they did was put the movement for womens rights back two steps. I have said all along that they were using these two and when it was done it would all be in the noise and forgotten. I am also tired of Republicans bringing a knife to a gunfight...however, I think with Sen Graham and a few others (not Flake) we may have seen a glimpse of things to come with Republicans...I hope they start punching back.

The ones really hurt by all this are real victims. It seems to me like the Democrats would do themselves a great service to read a bunch of pre-school kid's books that teach basic manners and things not to do (Like cry wolf)...
