Propaganda and disinformation is big business in Russia, it's no wonder that a crackdown on fake news/alternative facts sites is a threat to them.
I have no love for Facebook but I do applaud them finally doing something about this problem.

Your comment is a perfect example of the effectiveness of these tactics. I posted an opinion that you disagree with and in your view I'm "un-American". Respectfully SSG it appears you are the one that's been brainwashed.
Private companies like Facebook are under no obligation to provide a platform for these deceptive, divisive & destructive sites. Putin and other enemies of our nation are free to create their own sites.
