So, we should forget Constitutional protections? No one supports sexual harassment or assault. Only those that lie for a variety of reasons. It seems your position changes depending on who is allegedly guilty, Democrat or Republican. All genders are fully capable of lying and do so. This so called fear of filing a claim, particularly if true, is setting the table for more of the same for other victims. BTW, there are many sexual assaults on males, can we also assume they are all true?

Good job Master Chief. If you want to further understand why the Constitutional protections are important here, google Tawana Brawley and/or the Scottsboro Boys. Believe it or not, sometimes accusations are not true.

"When the commander-in-chief told reporters this month that it's "a very scary time for young men in America" in light of accusations of sexual misconduct, it undermined years of progress the military has made in getting more victims to come forward, legal experts say."

oh great, still trying to beat that drum of attacking due process while masquerading as "woman's rights," this will go great. Also, how exactly has he made cases more complicated exactly? And how is this entirely his fault? How are the democrats and Ford not at fault in some capacity for their political jockeying? Blaming the President entirely for this, you might as well throw what ever argument you have in the dumpster heap.

Also, burried in your article (Because that's a great way to undermine your title)
"Since Trump's comments didn't speak as directly to military sexual assault as Obama's did, VanLandingham said it's unlikely they'll result in successful unlawful command influence claims."

I don't think he's made it more complicated, I think he's simply stating that accuse someone but bring evidence with you. Watch the Dr. Ford testimony (which is what actually messed it up for women in this fight) because you can accuse someone all day but unless there's actual evidence, how you can indict and convict beyond a reasonable doubt? I am totally against these things happening but I think what you're starting to see is the pendulum starting to shift away destroying the man over an allegation and forcing the accuser to come up with the collaboration and evidence to support their stories. It's very hard to prove over hearsay but we've become a knee-jerk society rather than a one of ok, let's look at the facts.
