That article is misleading in many ways. The biggest deterrent to most of that technology is cost. If power cost get high enough their will be coal fired plants that utilize that technology and there are several others types of carbon removal out there. The U.S. is the only country to reduce their green house emissions over the last 5 years. All of these countries who signed the Paris accords have fail to do so as of yet. Plus note, Germany is going back to coal after pledging to get end all coal fired plants. If global warming advocates really want to reduce carbon emissions they need to start with China and India first and them move on to other emerging 3rd world countries where the expense of the technology is not worth it under their economic situation.

SrA John Monette - The major problem is the gains by the European Union and the U.S. were totally wiped out by the increase in Carbon Emissions from China and India. If we cannot get developing countries on board the rest of the world would go broke trying to reduce emissions for nothing.
