I blame the idiotic Republicans in the state (Scott, Rubio, Jeb et al) that knew this county had problems for 18 freaking years, and DID NOTHING!!!!

I agree. She was either good at her job and had good processes or she wasn't. I've seen this over and again, in the civilian ranks of the government too. Managers don't want to be bothered with fixing poor performance, making them better, and getting rid of them when they don't, yet complain about it afterwards. It could be as simple as flawed processes, and no one from the governor's office has ever tackled it. Doing it during election time is not the time. I don't feel sorry for them now.

Susan Foster - I was once told by a political science professor that no politician ever wants to solve anything. So true, and it is proven here. They had 18 years to fix the problem but kicked the can down the road. While getting paid good 6 figure salaries...
