MAJ Montgomery Granger - which has nothing to do with either the legal arguments or the posture of the case.

MAJ Montgomery Granger - not really. Besides being legally immaterial, your statement isn't true. There have been numerous trans soldiers that have been very successful.

It IS a pre-existing condition, and it DOES require drug therapy. Saying it doesn't doesn't make it so, Capt. Transgender and gay soldiers don't serve in a vacuum, nor in a socially safe place. Everyone is part of a team, and if one team member fails or distracts others they become ineffective and a liability. I am sure most if not all of us have served with a gay teammate, and probably many of us have served with a transgender teammate, known or unknown. I have knowingly served with gay soldiers and didn't really care, as long as a person can do their job, and not flaunt their sexual orientation they can be effective. Once that line is crossed however, and this goes for heterosexual expression as well, morale and effectiveness can be compromised. I don't think it's the responsibility of normal people to adjust our thinking to accept abnormal behavior. That's not a personal attack on anyone, it's expressing my personal feelings. Leave your personal habits out of our relationship as teammates in a game played for keeps. You are free do do and think as you please as long as you don't interfere with anyone else's ability to do the same. Sexual orientation and your personal elective surgery is really none of my business, so if you make it so, you must accept that others will express themselves as well.
