MSgt (Join to see) From a different conversation I had about this: "If we start off with the reasonable and historical assumption that the 2a intended the citizens to be armed equally to the government any limitation of firearm capabilities is a violation of the 2a.
Much like the stupidity recently attempted where they tried to ban or severely limit ammo claiming ammo is not Arms.
It’s pretty clear from several legal precedents that the right to bear arms is expansive and inclusive of capabilities even beyond those anticipated by the founders (Caetano 2016)."

That's exactly how I feel except I wonder what the anti 2nd's in my state think about sights and triggers, etc.

All gun laws violate the spirit of the 2nd Amendment.
Rewriting the law by executive order is also quite troubling. Saying a plastic stock is a machine gun doesn't make it a machine gun.

I have no problems with it. I don't have a sore Papa and did you can't hit anything with it accurately oh, it is stupid! It's too bad that Las Vegas had to be the example for one sick Gambler who probably was a druggie who had to take it out on the people at a country concert. You also tried shooting the fuel tank at the Las Vegas Airport. I knew Lieutenant Colonel in my unit who was the training officer for the black police officer from Las Vegas who passed away. That Lieutenant Colonel a recently retired but he is on the Las Vegas Police Department.

Las Vegas police officer killed in massacre left funeral notes: 'Remember me for who I was'
A Las Vegas police officer and U.S. Army veteran who was among 58 people killed in the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history provided instructions ahead of time for those at his memorial not to mourn, a pastor told the crowd at his funeral on Friday.
