We used this rule during my 30+ year law enforcement career. Which means always bring a gun to a knife fight and keep your distance.

However, in reality the bad guy is already close to you when the knife comes out. The other reality is that during a knife fight everyone gets cut or stabbed. But that doesn’t really change your tactics much. Just don’t be surprised when it happens.

Any refresher training is good in my book. The guy that knows it all is dangerous. Stay away from that guy, he will get you killed. I also hate the term expert. That means you know it all, and know it all's get people killed.

My friend who is a instructor doesn’t call himself an expert, he lets other gun owners bestow that on him because he is very knowledgdable they feel., and they entrusted their training to him and that he would teach them correctly.

Excellent video, I've seen some others even real life stuff caught on security cameras and knives in a gun fight can still be bad news. In all fairness Dan Inosanto could jack you up with a stick. WTS - if you're going to use a knife your opponent(?) should not even know you haver a knife until after he is cut. On the other hand if you decide to engage someone who has a knife you should do so with the thought of, I'm going to get cut so how do I minimize the damage, with that in mind you have a better chance of surving.
