All though this has been here for a minute, I had some free time, so.... I think one day when reality again brings common sense to the forefront of society, maybe this carbon myth will be debunked for the scam that it is and (hopefully) die the painful death that it deserves. Adding it to the list of those existential crisis that never happened.
Speaking of things that never happened, there was the alleged return of the mini-ice age that was "soon" upon us, or was it the melting of the polar ice caps-there were so many panic-inducing attempts, it is hard to keep track? (According to Al Gore, many cities should have water lapping at their doors or be outright flooded, right now!) Who could then forget those famous ozone holes that brought us all very expensive HVAC systems. Oddly enough none of those problems could be fixed without MASSIVE amounts injections of US taxpayer dollars. A strange cure, that.
Earth's history has shown levels of Co2 that far exceed today's and the world was fine-greener in fact. Understand, I am not suggesting needlessly polluting anything, as there is no doubt that there is such thing as to much of anything, generally speaking. An example from the 70's showed us that with the smog in LA, and other places-and now we have catalytic converters/scrubbers to help with that-so there can be real solutions to real problems.
But one volcanic eruption can undo everything that has been done, or ever will be done-then where is their money going to come from? And all this effort and great expense here to fore, will be for naught. When will the lion's share of the heat of so called "global warming" be attributed to that big ball of cosmic fire hanging in the sky that we rely on every day-after all, that is where it comes from. But, let me not get side tracked, there is no money to be made from "dealing" with the sun.
